PHOTO LUMINESCENT MATERIALS (PLM)

Ecoglo products contain a Photo Luminescent Pigment that is activated by either natural or artificial light. Unlike reflective products that need light to become visible, Ecoglo is clearly visible in light, dark and twilight conditions. Ecoglo does not illuminate like light bulbs, but has a strong and functional luminance (brightness) that can be measured in milicandelas (mcd). Ecoglo illustrates that 7mcd is a sufficient amount of visibility (this is higher than the minimum recommendation of all other international codes).

Upon exposure to light Ecoglo is activated, the length of the exposure at different luminancies will determine how long the Ecoglo remains visible. SunFor provides accurate charging times for different light conditions to match the length of visible performance required for the venue.

Ecoglo has developed advanced technology for the production of high visibility Photo Luminescent, anti-slip step edge and path marking systems. These systems ensure that people move safely, efficiently and in the light, 24 hours a day.
Applications:
Products include stair nosings, handrail markers, pathway markers, signage, aisle markers and seat numbering systems.

Ecoglo Photo Luminescent Technology can be used to supplement electrical emergency lighting systems as the products are fail safe, operate immediately and do not require ongoing maintenance.
